Earth, Wind And Fire/ Chic Feat. Nile Rodgers Boston, MA 08/05/2017
Last night the grooves were laid down by Earth, Wind And Fire and Nile
Rodgers with Chic. Chic was the opening act and Nile Rodgers was
incredibly nice and took pics and shook hands with fans before the start
of the show. I was far back at the TD Garden in Boston so didn't get that wonderful
opportunity. He was decked out all in white and he called them his disco
clothes. He started out with classics like Everybody Dance and Dance,
Dance, Dance. He did a medley of hits he wrote for other people
like I'm Coming Out and Upside Down (Diana Ross) as well as Let's Dance
(David Bowie). And a very moving moment when we found out the hit with
Daft Punk Get Lucky was written in the middle of a fight of an
aggressive form of cancer that he beat. He finished with the faves Le
Freak and Good Times and had a group of people from the audience up on
stage to dance. Earth, Wind And Fire were amazing. They were mostly
wearing black except for Verdine White who was wearing a white shirt and
red sequined pants-wow! They had on screen at times all their Egyptian/
Illuminati graphics. Very cool. I was thrilled to hear Phillip Bailey
sing. His son is part of the group. Very like his father. Out of the
gate we got Shining Star. I was flying when I got my birthday song 🎼Do you remember the 21st night of SEPTEMBER?🎶 And
everybody was a Disco Danny or Diva with Boogie Wonderland. And Let's
Groove was awesome! Decades of fun served up in one show. Loved it!
