Get The Led Out Boston, MA 08/10/2017
Get The Led Out was more like I Can't Wait To Get Out. Last night at The Wilbur Theater I went to see the tribute band of Led Zeppelin. Unfortunately, it was a miserable experience. They are a tribute band that is not trying to imitate the band's appearance. What they are trying to do is give you a great simulation of the sound. But that sound was way too loud. The Wilbur is not a big theater and they were pushing up the decibels like it was a stadium. It was just noise frankly for the most part. Hard to make out what the lyrics were and painful to the ears. Next problem was the lighting. I swear they were trying to blind the audience. It was like a minute could not go by without a harsh light in my eyes. So your trying to destroy my hearing and my sight. Not seeing enjoyment in that. Now even if you could hear and see, unless you're a hard core Led Zeppelin fan you wouldn't have known most of the songs. You're a tribute band so play the damn hits! And, I believe they're beginning to think they are the famous band and have the clout to not start on time with a show that was to be at 8pm and had the nerve to do half hour intermission. What??!! While they were doing the encore I was done. They started Stairway To Heaven and I was taking the stairway to the peaceful Boston streets.
